Details

The research assistants will help create & support the research initiatives under the guidance of research faculty. Areas of inquiry including:

1- using Microsoft BI to gather data & create reports

2- review & summarize data by market sectors, product type, customers and materials

3- develop dashboards that can easily extract (dig into) data needed during monthly reviews and to simplify regular reporting

Deliverables

The project may include, but is not limited to:

  • Overseeing complex data collection, manipulation, and data storage all within Microsoft BI and our homegrown system
  • Planning and performing the outlines and looking after data retrieval (eg, data scraping) and analysis (eg, big data analysis) using existing tools and methods.
  • Working with senior level in the design and execution of empirical tests. Supports the project/study by surveying literature and using existing tools to generate data.
  • Conducting literature reviews and contributing to the development of research projects.
  • Writing reports and assisting with writing grant applications in terms of conceptualization and articulation.
Mentorship

Students will work closely with the primary project manager who is supervising and available for questions as well as our Director of Finance.

This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.
